Project Two: Establishing a Reliable Primary School
As a school teacher, my wife had long dreamed of starting a school that addresses the gaps she has observed over the years. By 2022, it became clear that we needed to act sooner rather than later. Building on the growing impact of Project One, we realized that a high-quality primary school, one that merges the practical, learner-centered delivery style of the Cambridge curriculum with the rich, content-heavy National Curriculum could attract learners from more privileged families whose parents are able to pay.
By saving a portion of each paying child’s fees, we could then support a less privileged learner to stay in public school. This model spoke directly to our mission and made us realize our vision could become more sustainable if we started a school. We created a dedicated savings plan, which, over about 28 months, led to the birth of Ventures Early Learning Centre.
