Our Initiatives

We continue to innovate and build partnerships that allow projects to reinforce one another and deliver maximum impact within limited resources. To date, we have established four ongoing initiatives that contribute to shaping education, health, and wellness in the communities we work with.

Project One: Keeping Children in School Education

Project One: Keeping Children in School

In late 2020, during a walk in our neighborhood, we met an 8 year old boy. In a friendly chat as we walked together, we learned that he had missed school for the entire year. The public school he attended had not rolled out online classes at the hight of the COVID-19 lockdowns, he had no access to television or radio lessons, and when schools finally reopened, his guardian could not afford the basic requirements for him to return.

Project Two: Establishing a Reliable Primary School Infrastructure

Project Two: Establishing a Reliable Primary School

As a school teacher, my wife had long dreamed of starting a school that addresses the gaps she has observed over the years. By 2022, it became clear that we needed to act sooner rather than later. Building on the growing impact of Project One, we realized that a high-quality primary school, one that merges the practical, learner-centered delivery style of the Cambridge curriculum with the rich, content-heavy National Curriculum could attract learners from more privileged families whose parents are able to pay.

Project Three: Distant Adoption Partnership (Kamuli
                                        Sub-Group) Partnership

Project Three: Distant Adoption Partnership (Kamuli Sub-Group)

In our effort to grow sustainably and keep overheads low, Transforming Communities Group (TCG) formalized its work as a community-based organization and began seeking mission-aligned collaborations. Since early 2025, we have worked seamlessly with the Distant Adoption (DA) Program under the Salesians of Don Bosco mission, with generous support from the ADRA Foundation in Poland.

Project Four: Annual Christmas Learners’ Charity Drive Community

Project Four: Annual Christmas Learners’ Charity Drive

To further our mission of community-based sustainability, we are using Ventures Early Learning Centre as a platform for intrinsic education—helping children learn through values, empathy, and real-life practice. In 2025, we launched the first Annual Christmas Learners’ Charity Drive, one of several programs hosted at the school to foster learners’ internal motivation to care, share, and serve.

Keeping Children in School

In late 2020, we met an 8-year-old boy who had missed a full year of school during COVID-19. We discovered a simple solution: basic school requirements costing under $50 per term.

Establishing a Primary School Infrastructure

Establishing a Primary School

By 2022, we committed to building a high-quality primary school that blends the Cambridge approach with the National Curriculum, creating a sustainable model to support vulnerable learners.

Distant Adoption Partnership Partnership

Distant Adoption Partnership

Since early 2025, TCG has partnered with the Distant Adoption Program to support 18 beneficiaries with school fees, health care, food, and family guidance.

Annual Christmas Charity Drive Community

Annual Christmas Charity Drive

In 2025 we launched a learner-led charity drive through Ventures Early Learning Centre, encouraging children to share items with vulnerable families.
